Director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy still captivates film and comic book fans alike. A darker, more serious retelling of the story of the Caped Crusader, it changed the superhero genre from popcorn entertainment into prestige cinema. In the second film, The Dark Knight, Aaron Eckhart delivered an incredible performance as Gotham's complicated district attorney Harvey Dent, and Heath Ledger's Joker is widely considered one of the best on-screen villains of all time.
