Catriona Gray's Camp Issues a Warning to People Sharing ‘Fake’ Nude Photo
On July 18, an alleged nude photo of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray began circulating on the Internet, prompting her lawyer Atty. Joji Alonso to issue a warning to those who share the photo on social media.
According to Alonso, people who share the photos could be slapped with charges and be imprisoned.
“It has come to our attention that an alleged topless photo of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has been spreading online and a certain tabloid will be releasing it. We want to inform the public that this photo is fake and digitally altered,” read the statement.
“We are actively coordinating with authorities to hold accountable whoever is behind this scheme and face penal sanctions accordingly. We will likewise take legal action against those involved in the manufacture and publication of the said photo.

“We strongly denounce this vicious attempt to tarnish the good name of Ms.Gray. “At a time when fake news is prevalent, we firmly urge the public to be discerning and critical of what they see and share on social media.”
Alonso adds, “There is already so much wickedness happening these days. Maligning an innocent soul is tantamount to injustice. Or just purely evil.”
Gray has been a victim of malicious news the past few days. It started when her ex-boyfriend Clint Bondad posted cryptic messages on his Instagram stories, which many assumed were directed at Gray and her current boyfriend Sam Milby.
The allegedly fake topless photo is the latest attack on Gray. It is unclear who was behind the release of the photo.
