For most Filipinos, playing Christmas In Our Hearts is a given during the yuletide season. But what does the King of Christmas Carols play during his own holiday celebrations? Like most of us, Jose Mari Chan still loves the songs of his childhood—namely, the albums his grandmother used to play like Merry Christmas with Johnny Mathis and A Merry Christmas with the Four Aces. Classic crooners like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole also figure heavily on Chan’s playlist. “Our childhood Christmas memories are filled with music and the music has made Christmas forever memorable,” he explains.
