The Kid From 'The Shining' Has Revealed a Very Cruel Story From the Set
Well, that was traumatizing.
IMAGE Warner Bros.

You're probably wondering this morning: "Whatever happened to that small child from The Shining? Is he ok? Does he start nervously yelling RED?UM whenever he goes to a hotel these days?"

Well, we're glad you asked, as Dan Lloyd, who played young Danny, has been interviewed by the Guardian about his time shooting the film and since. He's now a biology professor at a community college in Kentucky with four childrenand yes, they all tease him about his pudding bowl cut in the film.

The set sounds nice enough, with director Stanley Kubrick organizing an Easter egg hunt and young Danny shielded from horrific scenes. "The Shining was a good experience. I look back on it fondly," he says.

Until he divulges the most traumatic part of the experience. One that has undoubtedly caused him to doubt every relationship he's encountered since. In the interview, Lloyd reveals that one of the members of the crew offered to send him the tricycle he famously rides down the Overlook Hotel corridor in the film.

"I was waiting and waiting for it, but it never came," he says, tears pouring down his face. Ok, we added that, but still.
