Dave Chappelle Debuts in Manila for Two Nights at Solaire
You can now get tickets to watch the award-winning stand-up comedian live.

American comedian and actor Dave Chappelle has performed in more than 1,600 shows worldwide in the past four years, selling out shows within minutes of announcement. Now, for the first time ever, the frequently touring comic will be bringing his award-winning comedy to Manila, at The Theatre at Solaire. Chappelle will be gracing the Solaire stage for two nights, on January 14 and 15, 2020.
As an internationally recognized stand-up comedian, Chappelle is known for his trademark wit and irreverent social commentaries that explore race, pop culture, politics, and fame. In 2019, he received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and released his fifth Netflix special Sticks and Stones, for which he received a Grammy Award nomination. His four other Netflix specials—The Art of Spin, Deep in the Heart of Texas, Equanimity, and The Bird Revelations—all received Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album in 2018 and 2019. Additionally, he captured his second Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special for Equanimity in 2018.
All these give us such high expectations for the event, and as tempted we may be to commemorate the show with an Instagram post, The Theatre would like to remind the public that taking pictures and recording videos of the show are strictly prohibited. To help members of the audience resist the urge to snap, Yondr, the company behind the patented locked phone pouch system for phone-free spaces will be introducing its product to the Philippines. Audience members will be asked to place their mobile phones in Yondr pouches, which will be provided at the event. Anyone caught recording or taking photos inside the venue will be immediately ejected, as all material performed is copyright protected by Pilot Boy Productions, Inc. and Dave Chappelle, and may not be reproduced in any form.
Tickets are available at Ticketworld and at the Solaire Box Office.
