In showbusiness, plastic surgery and injectables are practically a way of life. That's especially true in the Philippines where the likes of Dr. Vicki Belo and Dr. Aivee Teo are (almost) household names. That said, talking about getting something invasive done is another subject altogether. There are some stars, however, that live their life like an open book who have been honest about their experience under the needle and knife. Here are 20 Filipino celebrities who have admitted to getting something done.
Sharon Cuneta
"Been there, done that," was Sharon Cuneta's response to a reporter that asked her about going under the knife to reach her ideal weight. But, her past experience with liposuction has made her wary because of its short-term benefits. These days, she keeps healthy through a balanced diet and exercise. Aside from liposuction, the actress has previously spoken about getting botox as well as non-invasive treatments like Thermage and Ulthera to stimulate collagen.
Arci Muñoz
After being hounded with plastic surgery rumors in 2017, Muñoz was asked by a reporter whether she would confirm or deny them. She diffused the matter with ease, saying, "Deny? No, never, what's wrong with that? As if naman I committed a crime." Since then, the actress has said that she finds nothing wrong with plastic surgery.
Angeline Quinto
While many shy away from plastic surgery questions, Angeline Quinto took them head by referring to herself as a "proud retokada." She's admitted to having a nose job, eyelid surgery, botox, cheek fillers, liposuction, breast reduction, and treatments.
Christopher de Leon
Christopher de Leon keeps a youthful appearance with help from Dr. Vicki Belo. In 2011, he openly had Ultherapy which is a non-invasive skin tightening and lifting treatment that improves lines and wrinkles. To keep him looking refreshed, he also had his eye bags removed through laser blepharoplasty.
Chie Filomeno
In an interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda, Chie Filomeno casually revealed that she got her nose done. "There is nothing wrong in enhancing something that you have. It's your own choice as long as wala kang tinatapakang tao, go with it," she said.
Janine Berdin
The internet went crazy when singer and songwriter Janine Berdin posted photos of herself on Instagram with a seemingly new look.
