We Welcomed ASEAN With This Mind-Melting Rap Video

The year 2017 is an important year for ASEAN, especially for the Philippines. It marks the 50th birthday of the association, as well as its 30th summit. Holding the chairmanship, the Philippine Government naturally sought to commission an important artist to capture in song its mission and implore Filipinos to support ASEAN. The result of such commitment: ‘ASEAN Na Tayo’ by rapper Shernan. Yaaaaas.

This positively lit video, produced by Radio Television Malacañang, lays out to the uninitiated what ASEAN does. We recommend watching Shernan’s video in its entirety, which includes him rapping about the benefits of ASEAN (fame as a rapper), why we should unite around it, and how his girl got jealous in Singapore. Best to watch it here now, since the video has been taken down from the RTVM's official Youtube channel after complaints by concerned netizens.
