New 'Goyo' Trailer Plays Up The Romance, Raises The Stakes
Here's a little something to help nurse your post-Infinity War wounds: The second trailer for Jerrold Tarog's Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral just dropped, and it gives us a better look at the subject of the film and everything that's at stake for him.
The trailer opens with Joven Hernando (played by Arron Villaflor), a fictional character who also appeared in Heneral Luna, ostensibly representing the audience.
Then it cuts to José Alejandrino (played by Alvin Anson) speaking with Apolinario Mabini (played by Epy Quizon), about the order to capture Antonio Luna, which is being carried out by Gregorio del Pilar (an issue tackled in Nick Joaquin's A Question of Heroes).
The trailer then gives a glimpse at Goyo's love interests, including Remedios Nable Jose (played by Gwen Zamora) and Felicidad Aguinaldo (played by Empress Schuck).
It also begins to show how people viewed del Pilar at the time, and what was expected of him, both in his personal life and as one of the leaders of the revolution.
Along with the trailer came a new poster, as well as the announcement of a release date: Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral is finally coming to theaters on September 5, 2018.
