The So-Called Scariest Film of 2017 Has a Terrifying New Trailer to Match
Not for the faint-hearted.

There are candles, red doors, a mysterious virus, forests, suspicion, nocturnal terrors, guns, claustrophobia, dogs, and gas masks; if its latest trailer is anything to go by It Comes at Night might just be that rarest of cinematic beasts: a modern horror film that isn't total s**t.

After a teaser trailer that had fans of the genre counting down the days until its June 9 release, we've now been treated to an extended look at what's being hailed as the scariest film of the year, with a synopsis that reads:

"Secure within a desolate home as an unnatural threat terrorizes the world, the tenuous domestic order a man has established with his wife and son is put to the ultimate test with the arrival of a desperate young family seeking refuge. Despite the best intentions of both families, paranoia and mistrust boil over as the horrors outside creep ever-closer, awakening something hidden and monstrous within him as he learns that the protection of his family comes at the cost of his soul."

Take a look at the first official trailer below.
