John Lloyd Cruz Just Made His TV Comeback, And the Internet Is Going Crazy

John Lloyd Cruz is back-in a big way. After joining Facebook and Instagram (and immediately sending fans into a frenzy), he made his TV comeback by appearing with Willie Revillame on Shopee's Mid-Year Sale TV Special.
Cruz surprised the industry by taking an indefinite leave in 2017. He explained his decision in an interview with Boy Abunda on Best Talk by saying that he realized how short life is and that he wanted to answer the what-ifs in his life.
Revillame gave Cruz a proper introduction by saying that it was his first time on TV in four years. "This is the first time for more than four years," he said. "Welcome back on TV. Ngayon ka lang nakita. "Nakikita ka sa social media pero siyempre, iba ang telebisyon. Buong mundo, pinapanood ka."
Cruz was excited to be back and thankful to Revillame for making the whole thing happen. At one point, things turned emotional as he became teary-eyed. During the special, the actor performed and sang Júnior's "Yakap."
The internet also voiced their excitement on Cruz's return over Twitter, with many expressing their support.
The two then made sure to drop hints about Cruz's upcoming projects, including a primetime show on the GMA Network: "Abangan n’yo ho, abangan n’yo, magsasama kami ni Lloydie sa pagbibigay ng saya sa inyo, sa primetime show. Abangan n’yo dito sa GMA-7."
