You Need to Hear This Guy From Leyte Do a British Accent
If you’re still not on TikTok, we salute you. The app is a bottomless pit of content creators that will eat up your time from now till 2025 if you’re not careful. Many are truly cringeworthy, but there is the occasional gem whose antics and creativity can help brighten up an otherwise nothing day.
One of them is Justine Luzares, whose account on the video-sharing app is beginning to get notices as much as for his hilarious skits as for his impressive imitation of a British accent.
In an interview with TripZilla, the Albuera, Leyte-born Luzares says his fascination with language and accents began in seventh grade, when he watched the 2004 film Troy directed by Wolfgang Petersen and starring Brad Pitt and Eric Bana. Years later, he started mimicking the speech patterns of characters in Game of Thrones, specifically Viserys. After that there was no turning back.
He explains it here:
Today Luzares works in a BPO company, where he says his voice acting talents come in handy. Looking to just kill boredom and have fun, he started his own account on TikTok at the start of the pandemic last year. Since then his followers have ballooned to over 82,000.
And in case you’re thinking his skills are limited to just a near-flawless delivery of a British accent, he can also do more-than-passable Indian and even Australian accents.

He’s already gotten the attention of the current queen of voice talents, Inka Magnaye.
If he keeps this up, perhaps a future in voice acting isn’t out of the question.
