Will Smith Blue Himself in the New Aladdin Trailer

His Genie is here to haunt your dreams.

In the upcoming onslaught of live-action Disney movies, Dumbo might be this year's first, but it's Aladdin that has the highest expectations. With insane visuals and swelling orchestral versions of classic songs, this looks nothing like the Aladdin from your childhood. Instead, this looks something a lot more ... well ... terrifying.

Don't get me wrong! The most recent teaser for Aladdin that dropped during the Grammys is plenty exciting, but more importantly, it features the first look at Will Smith's Genie. To be frank, the big blue recreation is a choice. I can't quite put my finger on the reason exactly, but something about Smith's Genie is uncomfortable and large and awkward. Just watch it yourself. He sneaks in at the end. If you're drinking something, be sure and swallow it. We'll talk in a minute.

Do you get what I'm saying? I know you do. If you're thinking, "Something ain't right about that Genie," you're not alone. Twitter has some feelings, too.

We've certainly never had a friend like... that. Unless, of course, you count Tobias Fünke.
