We think it’s fair to say that the Eraserheads are one of the greatest Filipino bands of all time. They have their own place in the pantheon of local music and pop culture—one they’ve held for decades, even long after their greatest hits came out. And while they’re not currently coming out with new music together as a band (at least, not to our knowledge), we’ve proven before that anything the Eraserheads release to the public is worth checking out.

The band’s latest official merch collection with Team Manila fits that description. The clothing and graphic design studio has come out with more than a couple of Eraserheads collections before, but their latest one, which drops today, looks especially covetable. It marks 20 years since the release of their fifth studio album, Sticker Happy; and their 1997 EP Bananatype, with a line of graphic T-shirts, hats, bags, and embroidered patches. Have a look at the highlights:

We've got our eyes on some of the graphic tees as well as the embroidered patches (which would look great on a lived-in denim jacket). But the best thing about them, of course, is the band they represent. Because you're not Justin Bieber, who probably doesn't even listen to half of the bands on his heavy metal tribute T-shirts, you'd want to wear a sincerely beloved brand with sincerely beloved songs; and to a lot of Filipinos, the Eraserheads are that band. That would make for a style statement in itself.

It's also worth noting that one of the T-shirts has "eraserheads twenty eighteen" printed on it, perhaps as a way of looking forward to the year that they can finally play a local show together as a band again.
