Kabayan Noli De Castro recently posted a throwback photo on his Instagram account showing the former anchors of TV Patrol serenading viewers in what is now a viral post.

“The Voice of the of ABS-CBN Newsroom,” De Castro wrote, comparing the photo with the hit reality show and singing competition The Voice

In the photo are (from left) Kata Inocencio, Dong Puno, Loren Legarda, Korina Sanchez, and Christine Bersola-Babao.

De Castro’s co-anchors reacted to the post.

“OMG! Feel na feel kooo!” wrote Sanchez.

Bersola-Babao urged De Castro to post more throwback photos. “Ninong! Throwback! Haha! Baka marami ka pang nakatago sa baul, ilabas mo na! Ahaha!” (“You might be keeping more old photos, show them!”)

Legarda simply wrote, “Noli!” with a laughing emoji.

Where are they now?

Kata Inocencio was among the pioneers of TV Patrol. She joined the news program as an anchor in 1986. She shared the newsroom with De Castro and Frankie Evangelista from 1995 to 1996. In 2001, she left the network to join a ministry in Israel. She returned to the broadcasting industry in 2006 when she became vice president of the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) where she hosted and produced 700 Club Asia. In 2009, she ran for senator but did not win.

Dong Puno is a senior partner at the Puno and Puno Law Offices. He served as President Joseph Estrada’s press secretary from 1998 to 2001. After a series of failed election bids for congressman and senator, he returned to national TV in 2011 as host of TV5’s DeKalibre, which ended in 2013.

Loren Legarda left ABS-CBN and had a very successful political career. She became senator in 1998 after she received the highest number of votes. She ran for vice president in the 2003 elections, but lost to Kabayan Noli De Castro, with whom she had a bitter feud over election results. She served as senator for two more terms until 2019. As senator, she championed women’s rights and the environment.
