These Famous People All Died Within The Last 24 Hours
1| Kelly Preston
The actress and wife of John Travolta passed away Sunday in the US (Monday in Manila) of breast cancer. She was 57.
Preston appeared in films like Twins, For Love of the Game, Gotti, Battlefield Earth, The Cat in the Hat and What a Girl Wants, but is perhaps best-known for her role as Tom Cruise’s ex-girlfriend in the 1996 blockbuster Jerry Maguire.
Acording to the New York Times, Preston is survived by her and Travolta’s daughter, Ella Bleu; and a son, Benjamin. Their eldest son, Jett, 16, died in 2009 after having a seizure.
2| Zindzi Mandela
The daughter of South African icon Nelson Mandela expired while at a hospital in Johannesburg on Sunday evening. She was 59 years old.
Mandela has been the South African ambassador to Denmark since 2015. No other details of here death have been released.
According to Al Jazeera, Mandela is survived by her hudband and four children.
3| Benjamin Keough
The son of Lisa Marie Presley and grandson of Elvis Presley also died on Sunday. The death was confirmed by his mother’s manager Roger Widynowski.
Keough was Lisa Marie Presley’s son with musician Dany Keough. His sister is actres Riley Keough.
No other details were immediately released, although the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said the death was under investigation.
According to the BBC, Lisa Marie also has twin 11-year-old daughters with her fourth husband, musician and producer Michael Lockwood, who she wed in 2006 after brief marriages to pop star Michael Jackson and actor Nicolas Cage.
4| Kim Idol
The comedian (real name: Michael Argente)’s death was confirmed by his friend, actor and host Allan K, on Monday, July 13.
Idol had reportedly been found unconscious at the Philippine Arena on Thursday where he was helping COVID-19 patients.
According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the comedian previously revealed he has Arteriovenous Malformation, a medical condition in which the blood vessels connecting arteries and veins get tangled and disrupt the flow of blood and oxygen.
