Parokya's 'Mang Jose' to Become a Superhero Flick Starring Janno Gibbs

The Pinoy rock band Parokya Ni Edgar is a household name with tracks like One and Only, Halaga, and Harana. You might have jammed to their songs and encountered fictional hero Mang Jose, a hero for hire who promises to save you, as long as you can pay the price. This superhero might have existed as a song since 2005, but now he's going to get his own film. Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas are set to produce the upcoming flick, with Rayn Brizuela at the helm.

The Project 8 Corner San Joaquin Projects movie is under Viva Films and will star Janno Gibbs as the eponymous hero. Mikoy Morales is set to play Tope, and Manilyn Reynes will play King Ina, the Queen of Turborats. Filming hasn't started yet, but the cast has already started training for the film. Have to be ready for those action scenes.
