Filipino modern and contemporary art is booming right now. The sheer amount of artists, galleries, and collectors today is proof of that. As a new year and decade starts, it's clear an exciting shift in the landscape is coming. And, that's exactly what the group behind the newest art show in town has realized.

ALT Philippines is the brainchild of 10 of the city's leading galleries, namely Soler Santos of West Gallery; Mawen Ong of MO_Space; Kathleen Villalon of The Drawing Room; Silvana Diaz of Galleria Duemila; Cesar Villalon, Jr. of The Drawing Room; Evita Sarenas of Finale Art File; Pia Reyes and Gabby dela Merced of Vinyl on Vinyl; Sylvia Gascon of Finale Art File; Tina Fernandez of Artinformal; and Jay Amante of Blanc; Rudolph Kratochwill of 1335Mabini; and Manny de Castro of Underground.

ALT Philippines' format will be one that's immersive and engaging. One of the highlights will be the hands-on approach to producing and designing each aspect. Including the hive-like design of the space, dedicated areas per gallery, and public programming.
