A few firsts and some familiar faces are coming together for the 16th edition of Art in the Park. The  country's "affordable art fair" is set to bring a troupe of online exhibits and live events at the Jaime C. Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village, Makati City.

Art in the Park 2022: At the Park and in the Metaverse will feature special exhibits from the likes of Rodel Tapaya, Marina Cruz, Studio 1616, Distort Monsters, and Ang Illustrador ng Kabataan (Ang INK).

Founded by the couple, IsTorya is a narrative design studio that celebrates creativity, love of identity, and new ways of learning inherent to the Filipino

Founders of IsTorya and two of the most influential Filipino artists we have today, Rodel Tapaya and his wife, Marina Cruz, will exhibit nine and 11 artworks, respectively. Tapaya is doing so for Chicken Army while Cruz's are to be displayed for Imprinted Musings.

Meanwhile, Studio 1616, which boasts some of the most exciting names in the Philippine contemporary art scene, will present 15 artworks for sale online, each at 16x16 inches. Visitors may also catch their live installation, Reflect Deflect, at the park. This particular display makes use of steel and mirrors as reflective surfaces, allowing lookers to examine the pieces, and themselves, more intimately.

The Filipino street artist will be presenting 100 pieces from part two of his ongoing Monster Mayhem MegaMash series. Priced as low as P9,500.00, his NFTs will be sold a-la Blind boxes, where buyers will only see which giclee print they purchased once it gets delivered to them.

A live installation of 10 three-foot-high resin sculptures will also complement the online exhibition. The artist's monstrous creatures will be available for public viewing at the venue from April 24 to May 1.
