This Old Bus Has Been Turned Into a Mobile Library
Libraries will always have a certain magic about them; it doesn't matter how old you get. While Metro Manila already has its fair share of cool libraries, one bus company is working to get the magic of books to every corner of the nation. The Five Star Bus Company recently launched the Lakbay Aklatan project: with the help of an old bus that they upgraded into a mobile library, they'll be bringing books to public schools around the Philippines!
Launched in partership with Hulma Foundation, Lakbay Aklatan is a trove of books and learning for kids aged six to seven years old. The project "aims to improve reading proficiency," said the bus company in a Facebook post. "[Reading proficiency] serves as the foundation to better and quicker learning once the child moves to upper grade levels," they added.

The magic bus began its journey on September 9, starting with kids from Laoang Elementary School in Tarlac. Lakbay Aklatan will be heading to public schools all around the country, so keep your eyes peeled in case the bus comes to one near you!
