Filipino Book Lover Gives Free Access to His Online Classics Library

Time to catch up on some reading while on lockdown.

 “Ito ang ambag ko, mga chong,” Jyrus Cimatu says in a Facebook post. “Gamitin niyo sana 'yong panahong to para maging productive at mamulat para maka-unawa naman sa ibang tao.”

(This is my contribution, guys. May you use this time to be productive and become aware so that you can understand other people.)

“(I am) making public and available to all my online library which comprises Harvard Classics, Palanca-winning works, philosophy books, poetry, non-fiction books, and journal articles on politics, history, international relations and diplomacy, culture, and humanities,” adds Cimatu.

However, Cimatu emphasizes that the materials shall only be used for educational purposes only and not for monetary gain.

His online collection, titled Love In the Time of Corona Readings, is divided into different folders according to subject: law, politics, natural sciences, economy, history, philosophy, humanities, poetry, novels, and even children’s audiobooks.

Among the novels and classics he owns are the following:
