Nancy Binay Has Published a Book on Cyberbullying
Nancy Binay knows a thing or two about cyberbullying. The senator has had a long history online dealing with everything from bashers to trolls to memes—usually dissing her appearance in, well, creative ways—so it's no surprise that she has enough material to write a book about it. The senator has come out with Charcoal Confessions: 46 Home-Brewed Tips vs. Online Bullying, a survival guide to dealing with the harsh, harsh world of social media.
"Inspiration nito 'yong pinagdaanan ko for the past six [or] seven years," Binay told ABS-CBN. "It's not the end of the world if you get bashed online," she added. With the book, Binay "wanted to share how my perspective and positive attitude about life helped me in my journey toward healing," as quoted in an ABS-CBN report. Make of it what you will, but her track record proves the book must have basis.
This isn't the first time the senator decided to gift us with some social media wisdom. Charcoal Confessions follows her 2018 book Make Love Not War, also published by ABS-CBN Books. The earlier book was made in partnership with Senyora Santibanez, a fictional online figure, and is also a social media guidebook.
Charcoal Confessions: 46 Home-Brewed Tips vs. Online Bullying is available online through the ABS-CBN Store and in leading bookstores nationwide.
