Stressed? Check Out This Japanese Sit-Down Comedy Group

With everything going down right now, we’re badly in need of a good laugh. Good thing ANA is offering free tickets to “Rakugo in English.”

Need some comic relief? Check out Rakugo, a traditional form of Japanese comedy in which the comedian sits on a cushion and plays the roles of all the characters in his stories, with only a fan and a large handkerchief as his props.

Earlier this year, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and the Japan Foundation gave Filipinos a taste of this ancient art form with their “Rakugo in English” show which was held in Manila, Davao, and Cebu. It looks like the tour was a hit, since they’re bringing Rakugo masters Kaishi Katsura, Asakichi Katsura, Fukuryu Katsura, and traditional juggler Kouki Houraiya to tickle our bellies again.

The show is on October 7, Saturday at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati. You can win two free tickets by registering at the ANA website on or before September 17, Sunday. If you win, you’ll be notified via email on September 23.
