Over the years, Bang and Olufsen has earned the reputation for creating consumer electronics that wouldn’t look out of place in a museum of modern art. B&O’s line of speakers, CD players, and TVs are held in high regard by gadget connoisseurs for their technological innovation and avant-garde design.
Two new headphones from the B&O Play line have reached our shores and they’re ready to impress with their stunning build quality, Danish design, and signature sound.
The Beoplay H7 is an ultra-portable headphone designed by Jakob Wagner for discerning music lovers. The chassis is made from anodized aluminum for light weight. For maximum all-day comfort, the ear cushions are made from soft lambskin and the headband is encased in genuine cowhide leather.
The H7 is derived from the Beoplay H6 with wireless technology found in the H8. The headphone settings can be controlled using an advanced touch interface that’s sensitive enough to be used even with gloves on.
The headphone’s replaceable lithium-ion battery takes only 2.5 hours to charge for 20 hours of usage via wireless Bluetooth 4.1 connection. It also supports a wired connection using a standard 3.5mm mini-jack cable.
The Beoplay H8 over-ear headphone is packed with more tech: active noise cancelling (ANC) circuitry and an optimally balanced sound. The hybrid active noise cancellation uses two microphones to suppress ambient noise. Controlling the wireless headset is as easy as tapping and swiping on the side of the aluminium ear cup.
The H8 is made from the same premium materials as the H7. With ANC and Bluetooth enabled, the battery lasts for 14 hours. Charging time remains at 2.5 hours. Despite the additional ANC tech, the H8 is lighter than the H7, weighing only a paltry 255 grams.
Both headphones are available at B&O Play shops in Solaire, Greenbelt 5, Podium Mall, and authorized resellers. The H7 retails for P22,990, and the H8 for P25,990.
