Thailand's Greyhound Café Arrives in the Philippines

Greyhound is an apparel brand that opened its first store in Bangkok in 1980. After conquering the fashion world with its “Basic with a Twist” line, the company expanded to food and opened its first restaurant in 1997. Spearheaded by creative director Bhanu Inikawat and corporate executive chef Torsit Sarisdiwong-See, Greyhound Café offered the same concept as the original clothing brand: Thai basics with a twist.
It seems like it worked as the compay now has 17 branches across Thailand and another 18 spread out in other countries like Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the United Kingdom.
The first Greyhound Cafe is located at the ground floor of SM Aura Premier

The Philippines is the latest addition to that list. Brought in by the Viva Group, Greyhound Café has opened its first branch recently at SM Aura. The café serves Thai dishes with a thoroughly modern approach. Some recipes were handed down from grandmothers, while some are inspired by Bangkok street food and travel memories.
Instant favorites the famous Muay Thai Grilled Chicken, which is flavored with turmeric and served with Sticky Rice, Sumtum Salad, and a choice of Jaew and/or Sweet Chili Sauce. There’s also Crispy Pumpkin and Tofu Salad, Salmon Carpaccio with Herbed Thai sauce, Salmon Sashimi in Spicy Hot Sauce, Pad Thai Noodles, Light Tom Yum Soup. The idea is to blend traditional with international, street and couture, east and west.

The first Greyhound Café is located SM Aura at Bonifacio Global City. “We are very happy to welcome international flavors to the Philippines especially during a time when travel is limited,” says Mr. Steven Tan, president of SM Supermalls.
More branches of Greyhound Café are set to open this year at the Podium and SM Mall of Asia.
