These Local Restaurants Made It to the 50 Best Discovery List
It could not be a better time to be living in Manila. No need to leave the country (or, heck, the city) to have a great dining experience, because eight Manila establishments have been picked to be part of the esteemed 50 Best Discovery list: Blind Pig, Oto, The Curator, Toyo Eatery, Gallery by Chele, Mecha Uma, Raging Bull Chophouse & Bar, and The Back Room.
Though primarily an audiophile hotspot, OTO still has some of the best bar chow around.
In 2016, The Curator placed the 14th on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list.
Toyo serves up familiar flavors, but turns them into a feast for all the senses.
Gallery by Chele has a tasting menu that gave them even more buzz.
Chef Bruce Ricketts' many concepts, though coursing along a similar vein, don't bleed into one another.
Raging Bull serves up some serious steak and aren't shy about their condiments.
Released by the 50 Best brand (also behind The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants lists), the 50 Best Discovery list features restaurants and bars that have received votes from the 50 Best experts, consisting of some of the world’s leading food and drink writers, chefs, restaurateurs, and other esteemed names in the food industry. If you're looking for an excuse to head out and dine somewhere special in the city tonight, this could very well be it. For more information, check out the 50 Best Discovery website.
