You Can Now Buy a P1.3 Million Baccarat Crystal Pikachu
Collecting Pokémon has become such an expensive hobby, specifically outside the game. From Pokémon cards that are worth a fortune, now the video game series has entered the luxury high-end crystal market—with Baccarat, no less.
In a partnership with Fragment Design's Hiroshi Fujiwara, Baccarat has released a $25,000 (approximately P1.3 million) crystal Pikachu figurine that's almost a foot tall. The Baccarat Pikachu is pretty abstract as it was cut to reflect as much light.
"Pikachu has been transformed into an exceptional object for collectors. With its imposing dimensions, Pikachu Fragment symbolizes the unique know-how of Baccarat artisans. Multi-faceted and engraved with the “Electric” logo, Pikachu radiates more than ever to salute this very special year with brilliance," Baccarat said in a statement
The figurine is just the highlight of a full collection which also features a smaller Pikachu figurine and a Poké Ball. The Baccarat x Pokémon collection is available to order online and in-stores.
