Last weekend, the 75th anniversary celebration of French-Philippine diplomatic relations kicked off with quite the attendees. Not only did we get award-winning French actress Isabelle Huppert coming to Manila, we also apparently got a welcome visit from that Lucas Bravo dude. You might have heard of him.

He's on that lovely mess of a series Emily in Paris, in case you forgot. So naturally, people were swooning over the guy. Yes, that includes Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. President and CEO Robina Gokongwei-Pe and and Deputy Governor Berna Romulo-Puyat.

The man can charm just about anyone.

So what the hell are they doing in Manila, you ask? As mentioned earlier, it's the diplomatic ties thing. But more than that, the two also have films screening in the metro.

Huppert, of course, needs no introduction but we're going to do it anyway. She is best known as best for films like La Séparation in 1984 and The Piano Teacher in 2001. She had also starred in Brillante Mendoza's Captive back in 2011 (for the French-Filipino connection). Bravo, on the other hand, burst into the scene as that French chef heartthrob guy on Emily in Paris. Apart from the claim-to-fame role, Bravo stars as Paul in the George Clooney-and-Julia Roberts-led rom-com Ticket to Paradise. The two also appear in the comedy-drama Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.
