Here's What Went Down at the Esquire and Baxter Celebration

Together with Baxter, which marked 30 years of combining creativity and passion through furniture last year, we recently set up a virtual celebration to further let the country's top architects, interior designers, and decorators discover the brand.
The Italian luxury leather furniture brand showcased its exquisite pieces and impeccable leather craftsmanship along with its history with the help of Baxter CEO and founder Paolo Bestetti and architect and designer Paola Navone.
Hosted by Issa Litton, Jensen Go welcomed the Kuysen partners and friends: architects, designers, friends, influencers, and thought leaders who attended the celebration.
"Baxter is certainly one of the first brands to mention when it comes to made in Italy excellence and interior design. It stands out for its refined and exclusive products—the result of elaborate craftsmanship which creates luxury furniture and furnishings," Go said.
Esquire editor-in-chief Clifford Olanday then officially opened the event by sharing a few words. "At Esquire, we're always looking for ways to live our best and that includes everything from what we wear, what we eat, what we read, and even what we surround ourselves within our homes."
Attendees sipped on special cocktail kits from one of Asia's 50 Best Bars The Curator which brought the Baxter Bar experience in their own homes. Located in Milan, the Baxter Bar is a space that resembles a retro-style living room that transports guests to a bygone era.
Then, guests got a look at what goes into each Baxter piece as explained by Paolo Bestetti and Paola Navone as well as the working relationship that goes on between a creative and a furniture manufacturer.
Bestetti describes Baxter's collaboration with Navone as a turning point for the brand. Something Navone credits to their adoption of leather, a then-experimental material for furniture. She added, "The detail are very, very important—as important as the total design."
