Numbeo—which carries out surveys on cost of living, quality of life, and more—has just come out with its periodical crime index. Through a crowdsourced survey, the index determines just how safe people feel walking alone at night, as well as how rampant corruption and bribery are.

As far as the Philippines goes, the city of Manila ranked in the 48th spot for the index in between Bradford, U.K., and New Orleans, U.S. And yes, that means we scored particularly high in the crime index and low on the safety index.

Here are the 10 safest cities around the world below. (Keep in mind that this is all opinion-based, though.)
