Regina, the Store We All Grew Up With, Is Closing

It was something of a '90s rite of passage—or a weekend ritual.

Allowances were saved and spent on weird curios like fart sprays, glow-in-the-dark goo, magic tricks, and exploding pens. Regina was an overstuffed mish-mash of things every kid didn't know he needed.

The novelty shop, which has kept its packed space in Greenhills since 1977, has announced its permanent closure on Facebook.

No reason has been given, but it may have been affected by the recent series of unfortunate events in the area.

Prior to the pandemic that put the country's economy on a standstill, the formerly bustling commercial center was halted by a hostage situation.

In this climate, it might not be necessary to buy oversized mood rings and musical mugs, but we Regina is definitely essential to every childhood memory we have.

No official closing date was mentioned in the post.
