A man displaying admirable devotion to his well-earned pint has emerged as symbol of London's spirit in the aftermath of last night's terror attack.

The as yet unidentified man was photographed running from the scene of the attack on London Bridge and Borough Market at 10pm last night, still clutching what looks to be a good third of lager, and was instantly hailed on social media.

So far seven people are confirmed to have died in the incident, which was carried out by three grown men wearing fake bomb vests, who ran people over in a white transit van before getting out brandishing knives.
