An All-Female 'Spider-Man' Spin-Off Is In The Works (Because Twitter Isn't Angry Enough Already)

Between Venom, the bits of Infinity War Tom Holland was in before he sadly turned into dust, and the free-roaming PS4 game, it's been a bumper year for fans of Spider-Man and Spider-Man-adjacent larks.
There's more to come yet, too: Into The Spider-Verse, the animated alternate-dimensions caper is out on 12 December, and Deadline reports that an all-female spin-off is already in the works too.
That spin-off will focus on three generations of Spider-Women, and though nothing's confirmed yet it's likely to focus on Spider-Gwen from the upcoming Into The Spider-Verse. Bek Smith, who wrote on the sci-fi mystery Zoo, will do the script, and it'll be produced by Amy Pascal, who also sorted out the 2016 Ghostbusters, Venom and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
On top of that, there's also a sequel to Into The Spider-Verse in the works already, which is expected to see Joaquim Dos Santos - lately of animated series GI Joe: Resolute and Justice League Unlimited - direct a script by The Expendables and Wonder Woman 1984 writer David Callaham. You might know Dos Santos by his fan-christening of 'Doctor Fight', though you worry about the academic rigour of an institution which hands out PhDs for smacking people about.
