Bryan Cranston Just Hinted At A 'Breaking Bad' Return (With The Help Of A Cryptic Donkey)

Bray my name

Ever since Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan confirmed he was working on a film based around the series, there's been feverish speculation as to whether Jesse Pinkman and Walter White would get to share any screen time together.

It's been broadly reported that the filmwhich might be titled Greenbrier but could easily just not bewould follow the events of the series' finale, which would seem to preclude Bryan Cranston from being involved. However, that supposition was blown out of the water yesterday when both Cranston and his Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul both posted the same image on Twitter at the same time with the same caption: "Soon".

We're not going to bother embedding Aaron Paul's tweet here too because, you know, it's exactly the same. That suggests that despite everyone assuming he was dead at the end of Breaking Bad, Walter White will appear in the film in some capacity. Now, you'll probably have noticed that there's no specific reference to the Breaking Bad film there, and the donkey motif is one that's passed most fans by, but what else could it be?

Some suggestions: they're voicing two donkeys in a knockabout animated children's film which will end up with 38 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes; they're in a gritty origins prequel to Shrek which follows the young Donkey's life on the mean streets of Far Far Away; they're working on a Blackpool-based period drama; or they're presenting a two-hander Channel 5 documentary about the valuable work of The Brooke, a charity which aims to protect working donkeys and horses.
