The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Fans Think They Already Know This Season's Surprise Character
You might remember when, a very long time ago—like, a few weeks—when fans spent the entirety of WandaVision's run trying to guess the identity of a mystery character. (Mainly, because Paul Bettany trolled us and set Reddit ablaze.) How'd that work out? We got Ralph frickin' Boehner.
Have none of you learned your lessons? Because The Falcon and the Winter Soldier writer Malcolm Spellman just teased "an episode five character" with a strong personality whom he'd like to see hang with Thor. Now, Marvel fans are on a crash course toward Boehnergeddon all over again. In the Reddit thread where the Spellman tease popped up, a few theorists are trying to figure out if The Falcon and the Winter Solider will actually pay off on a holy-shit-level reveal. And, if so: Who could butt their heads in on the blossoming John Walker-Bucky-Sam Wilson feud? Since, to be honest, we can't really help ourselves either, let's take a peek at what fans have in mind.
The most compelling (and likely) theory involves the recently-introduced Isaiah Bradley, the one-time Captain America who was unforgivably mistreated and abused by the government. Reddit user IncMelon2 thinks that, somehow, Walker will meet Bradley on a quest to get himself the super soldier serum. Here's what user masongraves_ added to that idea:
Agreed. Walker is trying to track down powerbroker in order to get juiced up and traces the path to the Bradley house. Eli tries to defend his grandfather and his home but Walker beats the shit out of him
Eli needs a blood transfusion from his grandfather in order to survive, and Sam and Bucky work to help this happen. Isaiah dies in the process but Eli gets his powers
It's a great theory, especially because in the comics, Eli Bradley eventually becomes a super soldier himself and fights alongside the Young Avengers. Aside from that, MotherMonster310 has a far less likely theory, but it has to be said. You know, Old Man Cap is somewhere in this world. And if Isaiah Bradley can still kick ass, so can Old Man Cap. Chris Evans has said that he's done with the role. But never say never. Here's the theory, which, admittedly, we'd love to see come true:
Old man cap dies protecting Sam and buck, or walker maybe even after walker nearly kills him in a fight. This may prove that it's always about being a good man like Erskine said without the super soldier serum not a good soldier like walker. Imagine a line like this: Walker: do you think you should stop the future with a serum? Steve: it was NEVER about the serum! ( In his dying breath)
You know, there's actually a far better theory in the thread. Think this one might actually be legit. Take it away, SilentBandit:
Guys it's obviously going to be John Krasinski playing Reed Richards who is then suddenly revealed to actually be Mephisto but then THAT will be revealed to be a plot twist and it turns out he's actually some eccentric Captain America stan called William Weihner.
