The One Where Lego Launches a 2,048-Piece Friends Set
Excuse us while we replay all of our favorite Friends scenes with Lego's fanboy Friends set. It's clear everyone over at Lego is a hardcore Friends fan like everyone else in our generation as this detailed set boasts 2,048 pieces lovingly made by people who can probably recite every episode by memory.
Lego's latest build brings us back to the gang's NYC apartments: Monica's iconic purple abode and Chandler and Joey's bachelor pad. According to Lego set designer Anderson Grubb, this project's R&D included a lot of episode rewatches, a task we're sure no one complained about. If you can spot the details in the set, then you know you're a real fan as the people over at Lego clearly are.
The set includes everything from Chandler and Joey's canoe, chick and duck, Pat the Dog, and the foosball table. Over at Monica's, you've got the dreaded Gladys portrait and the balcony where the gang ogled Ugly Naked Guy. Of course, the set wouldn't be complete without all six friends-and the turkey that got stuck on Joey's head during Thanksgiving.
The Friends set launches on May 19 to Lego VIP members, and then to everyone else on its website and retail stores on June 1 for only $149.99.
