It's been two years since Heneral Luna hit the big screen and became one of the most successful local indie movies of all time. (It raked in more than P200 million during its run!) It was only a matter of time before a sequel would be in the works, and it was then announced that a spino film—this time revolving around Paulo Avelino's Gregorio del Pilar (a.k.a. Goyo) character—was going to be made. And now, after months of teasers and behind-the-scenes videos, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral finally gets a nationwide premiere date on September 5.

Along with the announcement of its highly anticipated premiere, the people behind Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral also posted a brand-new teaser of the film.
