The Snyder Cut succeeded in satisfying DC fans, and then some. Zack Snyder was generous enough to give fans epic cameos of the Martian Manhunter, the Joker, Deathstroke, and even the Knightmare epilogue.

But there’s one epic scene that didn’t make the director’s cut: Green Lantern’s introduction to the now defunct Snyderverse.

According to Snyder, a Green Lantern scene was shot in Snyder’s driveway during additional photography shoots. In the scene, John Stewart’s version of Green Lantern was supposed to meet Bruce Wayne with Kilowog, but Warner Bros. refused to allow the Green Lantern cameo as they reportedly already have plans for the character.

In compensation, they let Snyder have the Martian Manhunter instead.

It’s highly unlikely we’ll get a “Lantern Cut” since the scene would have only been a few minutes long, but we do have epic BTS shots of what could have been. Check out Snyder’s BTS photo, as well as Wayne Carr’s, the actor who was cast to play Green Lantern in an alternate universe where Warner Bros will actually #RestoreTheSnyderverse.

There's been a number of Green Lantern portrayals over the years, both in the comics and on screen. The most infamous version was Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan in the 2011 super hero film Green Lantern. The film bombed and ranked so bad with critics that Warner Bros. canceled all plans for any sequels, to the relief of both the cast and the fans. However, the studio is reviving the comic book hero with a 10-episode series on HBO Max, which will focus on another Green Lantern, Guy Gardner.
