Macaulay Culkin Dishes on What Was Wrong With Home Alone

Home Alone is a near-perfect movie and we won't hear a bad word against it.
That said, we'd be willing to hear out Macaulay Culkin on a potential plot hole in the film. It's only polite.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this weekend, the former child actor discussed a discrepancy in the film that made him famous all those years ago.
“This kid's a really clever kid, right?” Culkin said. “Like, these guys are about to break in, why doesn't he just call the cops?”
“He makes a master plan, he uses Micro Machines but for real, there's landlines—there are no cellphones but still," he added. “I think that's the only thing and I think that's an enormous plot hole.”
Though he was quick to add, “I don’t actually spend my days thinking about it, that was just the only one I can think of right now!”
Though admittedly, 'small child calls the police' would make for a marginally less entertaining story.
