Is Ellen Adarna Finally Engaged to John Lloyd Cruz?
Ellen Adarna might be engaged to boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.
Two nights ago, June 3, the ABS-CBN actress posted a photo of her left hand wearing a few rings, with one on a telling finger: bronze band and a diamond ring on her middle finger and another, much larger diamond ring on her ring finger. She captioned her post with a heart emoji.
Adarna deleted her post a few hours later, but celebrity friends, including Isabelle Daza, Gretchen Barretto, Joyce Prince, Cat Arambulo, Beauty Gonzales, and Marc Nicdao, had already replied with congratulatory messages
Cruz and Adarna have yet to come out with an official statement regarding their relationship status.
WEDDING RUMORS
Rumors of an impending wedding started back on January 5, 2018, two months after PEP.ph revealed in November 2017 that Adarna was pregnant with Cruz's child.
Lolit Solis revealed that the couple already contacted a florist and caterer for their wedding. The entertainment columnist and talent manager also gave a list of probably principal sponsors, which included Dr. Joven Cuanang, who heads St. Luke's Medical Center, and Alberto Romulo, former Foreign Affairs Secretary and father of Cruz pal Erwin Romulo.
On January 7, however, Gonzales, Adarna's friend, denied any wedding plans. The next day, Cruz and Adarna posted wedding jabs seemingly targeted at Solis. Cruz posted a video of him walking in the dark amid a garden wedding setup. He captioned it "take it, take it." In turn, Adarna posted a similar video with the actress singing the wedding march in the background and hooting at the end of the altar.
The couple didn't mention any names in their posts, but "take it, take it" refers to the 1994 Manila Film Festival scam that was supposedly masterminded by Solis. Solis, however, stood by her original statement.
