Jeff Goldblum, Star of Jurassic World Dominion, Teases His Return to the MCU in Thor: Love and Thunder

"It’s my most challenging role to date, and I believe my highest accomplishment."

For the second in our Fake News video series (watch the first one, with Benedict Cumberbatch, here), Esquire sat down with the charming, charismatic and unfailingly dapper Jeff Goldblum to discuss movies new (Jurassic World Dominion), old (The Fly) and even older (Death Wish) — as well as the secret to ageing gracefully (marry a gymnast 30 years your junior) and the meaning of chaos theory (over to you, Jeff.)

Also covered: the star’s return to action, of a kind, as the Grandmaster in the next Marvel blockbuster, Thor: Love and Thunder.

Says Goldblum: “Am I going to be in Love and Thunder? The truth is, and I can say it now because the trailer has come out, I appear in it. It’s my most challenging role to date, and I believe my highest accomplishment. I’m not seen, visually. You never see me. And you don’t hear me. Nor am I referred to, I believe, in any scene. I am sensed, only vibrationally. It’s up to the viewer to pick up on that… But you will feel something. And that will be me.”

Jurassic Park Dominion is out at cinemas 10 June.
