Kingsman: The Golden Circle Is a James Bond Film for the Marvel Generation

The bright colors, the fantastical plots—Kingsman has the formula and look of a Marvel movie with the fancy English spies of a Bond movie. If 007 had originated in a comic book rather than a novel, this might have been what we got. But instead, Kingsman is the perfect combination of both: a spy thriller based off a comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn, who also helmed Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class.
The trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to the 2014 surprise hit comic book adaptation, features a guy with a robot arm, Channing Tatum as a cowboy, and underwater submarine vehicles. There could have very well been a guy with a cape saving the day, but instead we have our hero, played by Taron Egerton, sporting a finely tailored suit. Kingsman: The Golden Circle also stars Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Elton John, and Jeff Bridges. It's out on September 22.
