Marvel Boss Says Those White Avengers Suits Are Very, Very Important

Kevin Feige says they're called 'team suits', actually, if you don't mind

The white suits that you've seen the remaining Avengers wearing while strutting through an airport in the trailers have been the focus of a lot of fan theories lately, though weirdly none so far have suggested that they're an homage to Liverpool's boxy cream FA Cup final suits from 1995.

Most focus on the idea that the survivors of Thanos' snap are going to have to launch themselves into the weird and frightening world of the Quantum Realm, seeing as they do look a fair bit like the suit Hank Pym wore to rummage around in there and hoik out his long-lost wife. But what actually are they?

"We call them the team suits," Marvel boss Kevin Feige told iO9, an unspoken 'actually mate' hanging in the air. "And we early on decided [revealing them] was a big differentiating factor between [Endgame] and the other films. The Avengers have never had matching outfits before, [so] we thought it was a very intriguing image to see something that made this film feel new."

"[We had to] make it feel more than just Infinity War II. Because it’s not. Those team suits add something fresh to it. As does Hawkeye, as does Captain Marvel. As does Scott Lang. All of whom were not in Infinity War, hence Scott Lang and Hawkeye being revealed in that first trailer, and Captain Marvel in the next one."

So, that explains how the white suits are useful from a marketing perspective, and suggests that they're a big statement within the film. But what about the Quantum Realm, Kevin? Eh? What about that? Don't walk away from me, Kevin. Kevin.
