The Mandalorian Was the Most Pirated TV Show of 2020

2020 was a record-breaking year for a lot of things. Mostly bad. Climate change, pandemic-highs, and more... you get the point. On the weird side of things, however, we have a new torrent record.

According to TorrentFreak, which tallies the most torrented shows each year, Disney+'s The Mandalorian was the most pirated TV series in 2020. It beat out—no surprise here—Game of Thrones which held the top spot of several years in a row.

In a statement, TorrentFreak said: "It’s worth noting that BitTorrent traffic only makes up a small portion of the piracy landscape. A lot of people use streaming sites and services nowadays, which generally do not report viewing stats."

The list is amusing and all, but always remember to legally support your favorite TV shows and movies. After all, piracy kills the film and television production industry.
