Marvel Studios debuted the trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that took viewers on a mind-blowing whirlwind through the Multiverse.

Trailer: Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

“Every night, I dream the same dream. And then, the nightmare begins.” The voice of Dr. Strange opens the trailer for Multiverse of Madness

The “nightmares” could be manifestations or visions from parallel universes, which could be the consequences of Dr. Strange’s multiple interferences with reality: first during Infinity War and End Game when he used the Time Stone to influence the Universe’s future, and second in No Way Home when he caused the fabric of reality to tear apart.

This seems to be affirmed by Wanda, who tells Strange, “You break the rules, you become the hero. I do it, I become the enemy.”

This points to a clash between Strange and Wanda, who seem to be on opposing sides of the story, judging from the trailer’s scenes.

But this could be a very different Wanda that we witnessed in Infinity War and End Game. As we have seen in WandaVision, the Scarlet Witch had struggled with her immense power, which clouded her mind and at times, overtook control of herself.

Could a dark Wanda similar to Jean Grey’s Dark Phoenix be manipulating events in Multiverse of Madness? There is a good likelihood for that, seeing how there are two Wandas in this scene in the trailer:

Although it is possible that we are facing a Wanda from another universe, because there seems to be two Dr. Stranges too, but one looks really evil:

We also get a glimpse of Supreme Sorcerer Mordo, who if you’ll remember, was the overzealous and irritatingly idealistic sorcerer in the first Dr. Strange movie. He even gets to lecture Stephen Strange once again:“Your desecration of reality will not go unpunished.”

And then we see a handcuffed Strange being escorted by a bunch of robots that look like a cross between Ultron and Iron Man:

Are these the servants of Iron Man from another universe, who is rumored to be played by Tom Cruise in Multiverse? Is this his base?
