South Korean film Parasite has been the talk of the town lately. The awards are one thing (it won a Golden Globe and it's nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture), but everyone who's watched can't stop talking about it, and some have even gone as far as to make memes from the film and of the cast. If you weren't able to watch the film when it first came out in August 2019, you can rest easy, because you still have a chance to watch the film on the big screen: selected cinemas in the Metro are screening Parasite from January 29 to February 5.

Directed by Bong Joon Ho (Okja, Snowpiercer), Parasite zeroes in on two opposite families: the poor Kim family living in a sub-basement home, and the affluent Park family who lives on a luxurious estate atop a hill. Kim son Ki Woo (Choi Woo Shik) somehow lands a job at the Park household as a tutor, and through a chain of recommendations, gets the rest of his family—sister Ki Jung (Park So Dam), father Ki Taek (Song Kang Ho), and mother Kim Chung Sook (Jang Hye Jin)—to work at the estate. As they weave themselves into the lives of the rich family, they stumble upon a dark secret.
