Potato Corner Just Made a Cameo in Netflix's The Prom
The Philippines’ beloved french fries company has made an appearance on The Prom, a musical film starring Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, and James Corden.
The fancy Potato Corner kiosk seen in the movie is located at Northridge Fashion Center in San Fernando Valley, California, where the film was partly shot. Apparently, the homegrown brand has found its way to the U.S. where there are significant populations of Filipinos.
In California alone, Potato Corner has 16 stores on top of branches found in Arizona, Georgia, Minnesota, Florida, New Jersey, New York, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington.
Potato Corner Menu in the U.S.
Potato Corner’s U.S. menu is very different than the menu served in the Philippines. We took a look at the menu from the store seen in the film, and we were not disappointed with its offerings.
Just like in the Philippines, the store offers buckets aptly named Jumbo, Mega, and Giga, but the U.S. stores offer tater tots (deep-fried grated potatoes formed into a ball), sweet potatoes, and loopy fries (just like twister fries), and chips.
Here’s a comparison between the two menus.
