What The Russo Brothers' 'Don't Spoil Avengers: Endgame' Letter Says, And What It Really Means
As you definitely know by now, a four-minute sizzle reel full of massive spoilers for Avengers: Endgame was furtively filmed during a showcase and has been doing the rounds on Instagram, Reddit and Twitter, leading thousands of incurably curious fans to seek it out and willingly ruin a film they'd been looking forward to for a solid year.
Obviously this couldn't stand, so directors Joe and Anthony Russo stuck their necks out with an open letter telling everyone #DontSpoilTheEndgame. In a slightly odd aesthetic choice, the Russos wrote a letter on Word, printed it out, signed it, then took a photo of their handiwork to put on Twitter.
Stirring stuff, for sure, and you can see why the Russos want to keep as tight a hold on the conclusion of the Avengers universe as possible. The leakers are doing their best to ruin what should be a thrilling and fulfilling end to a franchise which has brought enormous joy to a colossal number of people across the world, and they need calling out. But what are the Russo Brothers really saying, and what do they really mean? Let's dig.
