Ryan Reynolds Has Never Actually Seen His Terrible 'Green Lantern' Movie

Lucky him.

Ryan Reynolds has more than redeemed himself since the awful Green Lantern movie, winning his place among the superhero titans as Deadpool.

However, the star has admitted that even he hasn't seen the 2011 movie, which was panned by critics and audiences alike and proved a disappointment at the box office.

"Look, I've never seen the full final version of Green Lantern," Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly. "I saw a very late stage rough cut of the film."

Before you jump to conclusions as to why, though, the actor explained that it was not because it was a terrible movie (even though it was).

"Now, that isn't to say that I didn't want to see it because I didn't like it," he continued. "I have movies that have been received pretty well that I haven't seen, and then I have movies that I have seen 100 times that people don't like but I just like.

"The Green Lantern [joke in Deadpool] to me is just sort of, I don't know, kind of fun. It's me just taking the piss out of me, but it's more Wade [Deadpool's real name] though."

Meanwhile, Reynolds has admitted that despite the success of the Deadpool franchise, a third standalone movie may not actually happen.

"I don't know that there would be a Deadpool 3. I really don't," he said. "I feel like the character, in order for him to function properly within his own universe, you need to take everything away from him. I don't think that you can keep doing that."

Yet no need to fret, as he may still appear as the Merc with a Mouth in future movies involving the X-Force. Phew.
