You'll Never Look at Zac Efron the Same After Watching the Trailer for His Ted Bundy Biopic
Ted Bundy was one of the most notorious serial killers of the 20th century—a fascinating case study about a man whose charm and looks made him almost immune to repercussion for his heinous crimes. Between 1974 and 1978, Bundy murdered more than 30 people in seven different states and escaped from jail twice.
A half-dozen actors have played Bundy in various films since the serial killer was put to death in 1989, but this year will see the release of what could be the most promising Hollywood treatment yet, with a fictionalized biopic starring Zac Efron as the killer.
In the first trailer for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, Efron has all the Bundy traits: He's sexy, he's witty, he's charming, and beneath it all is something truly demented. Starring Lily Collins, John Malkovich, Jim Parsons, and Angela Sarafyan—Extremely Wicked tells the story from the perspective of Bundy's girlfriend Elizabeth Kloeopfer, who was just as enamored with the handsome young murderer as the rest of the country.
