The Weirdest Assembly of Superheroes Fight COVID-19 in Tribute Film
An animator created the weirdest assembly of superheroes and fighters from different cinematic universes to fight COVID-19.
In the 10-minute short film, Son Goku joins John Wick, Superman, Batman, The Witcher, John Cena, Sonic the Hedgehog, Thor, and Spider-Man, among others, in a last-ditch effort to rid the world of coronavirus.
Ironman makes a rollcall of attendance during their meeting.
“Cap, check. Deadpool, check. Sonic, check. Bald guy, check,” he says, referring to Saitama as the bald guy from hit anime series One Punch Man. Iron Man continues the rollcall, calling Tom Hanks (infected), The Witcher, and John Cena, who is missing but appears suddenly.
Then, mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his neurotic grandson Morty Smith from the adult cartoon series Rick and Morty drop in through a portal and present a battle plan for the characters to defeat coronavirus.
In the short film, the coronavirus is depicted as replicating monsters with a virus for a head. Rick divides the heroes into groups and sends them to different continents where they must simultaneously fire a special cure gun he designed.
Realizing they are short-staffed, Rick warps Thor into existence, along with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator, Wolverine, Mr. Incredible of The Incredibles, Leonardo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Flash, and Shaggy Rogers of Scooby-Doo.
